ISO Certification Article
The Phenix City, Alabama plant is registered to the ISO 9001:2000 standard, having passed their transition audit on October 1-2, 2002, more than a year ahead of the mandated December 14, 2003 deadline. Phenix City has been an ISO 9000 registered plant since December 7, 1994.

Production, Maintenance, and Shipping employees of Continental Carbon Company's Phenix City Plant are represented by the United Steelworkers of America, Local 2948A.

The current Agreement is effective through August 15, 2008.







Environmental

Continental Carbon Company is an active member of the International Carbon Black Association (ICBA). One of the major purposes of the association is to assist its member companies in understanding and complying with health, safety and environmental matters related to the carbon black industry.
