Project Engineer – Plant
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Superintendent, Maintenance
Location: Ponca City, Oklahoma
Main Function:
- Assists in planning, directing, controlling and managing the Maintenance Department.
- Assists in optimization of safety, quality, efficiency and costs.
- Assists in the proper management of all equipment and personnel assigned to Maintenance Department.
- Assists in the development of departmental strategic planning to fit plant strategies and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in the safe utilization of all department resources to ensure reliable service to our customers.
- Provide technical support for the plant and its capital projects - their design, installation, start-up and evaluation.
- Responsible for instructing department personnel in safe work practices and basic safety principles.
- Assists in resolution of safety tour findings submitted in work order system.
- Collect, evaluate, and troubleshoot plant-operating equipment.
- Assist corporate engineering defining project scopes and feasibility of future projects.
- Provide technical engineering for on-site installation and implementation of projects.
- Responsible for start-up, troubleshooting and evaluation of new processes built by capital or in-plant projects.
- Assist in assurance of compliance with all appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Assist in the planning and management of the department’s expense and capital budgets to improve plant reliability, improve quality and increase productivity.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of reactor sections for all production reactors.
- Maintain plant process boilers to ensure reliable boiler operation.
- Support all maintenance functions to maintain reliable plant operations.
- Supervise maintenance hourly employees.
- Support all plant safety requirements

Education and Experience
- BS degree in a related engineering discipline required.
- 3 years of previous relevant work experience.
- Proficient with PC and PC-network applications. Effective communicator, both oral and written.
- Strong understanding of project management.
- Safety Management.
